A dedicated car for daily business travel makes sense. The question is whether to own that arrangement or rent it. Owning looks cheaper on the surface — it usually isn't, once you add everything up and count the time it takes to manage.

The real cost of owning

The car is only the start. A company car-and-driver also carries:

  • The vehicle — purchase or EMI, insurance, and depreciation you eventually absorb on resale.
  • The driver — salary, overtime, leave, statutory dues, and the recruitment when they move on.
  • Running & upkeep — fuel, servicing, tyres, repairs, parking and the downtime when the car is in the workshop.
  • The gaps — what happens on the driver's day off, or when the car is being serviced and your day still needs to happen.

Each line is manageable on its own. Together, they add up to a standing asset and a standing management job.

What a monthly rental covers

A monthly chauffeur rental folds all of that into one arrangement: a dedicated vehicle and chauffeur assigned to you, month after month — the familiarity of an in-house car without the cost of owning, staffing and maintaining one. Maintenance, insurance and servicing are ours. Billing is one predictable monthly invoice.

The hassles you simply hand over

The cost you can put on a spreadsheet. The hassle is harder to price, and often matters more: no HR for a driver, no scramble when they're unwell, no breakdown to coordinate, no asset depreciating on your books. If the assigned car needs servicing, a backup of the same standard takes its place — your day doesn't notice.

Flexibility that ownership can't match

Needs change. A rental flexes with them — scale up for a busy quarter, scale down in a quiet one, switch vehicle class for an important visit, add a second car for a project. None of that is possible once you've bought a car and put someone on payroll to drive it.

When owning still makes sense

To be fair: if utilisation is extremely high and constant, or you need a very specific, personalised vehicle that lives with one executive, ownership can be the right call. For almost everything else — predictable daily travel, multiple users, changing needs — a monthly rental gives you the same daily comfort with less capital and far less management.

Our monthly rentals come from our own fleet, with trained chauffeurs, guaranteed backup and dashcam accountability — one car, one chauffeur, one invoice. If you'd like a plan shaped to your travel, send us an enquiry and we'll respond within four hours.
